In 2018 I had the fortune to help raise funds for the Derramadero School ; A local school in a rural area of Oaxaca, Mexico which serves the entire community of primary, mid and high school students.

School semester began again 2 weeks ago but a recent series of violent thunderstorms and lightning strikes along the coast has fried the electrical equipment. The internet tower took a direct hit, preventing the area from using WiFi, its only resource for teachers and families to download their curriculums.
